Overview

This guide walks you through setting up your MintID workspace, importing your first products, and preparing them for Digital Product Passport minting.

1. Create Your Brand

After signing in, you’ll be guided through onboarding:
  • Enter your brand name and basic details.
  • Select your industry classification (NACE code) — this determines which DPP modules and compliance fields apply to your products.
  • Choose your plan.
Once created, you’ll land in your brand workspace.

2. Configure Your Permanent Domain

Navigate to Settings → Domains to set up your resolver subdomain:
  • Your subdomain (e.g., yourbrand.mintid.ai) becomes the permanent base URL for all product resolver links.
  • This is a write-once setting — choose carefully, as it cannot be changed later.
  • Optionally configure a custom domain for branded scan URLs.

3. Import Products (CSV)

Navigate to Products → Import to bring in your product catalogue:
  1. Upload a CSV file using the MintID import template.
  2. Map columns — the importer will auto-detect standard columns and let you manually map any unrecognised headers.
  3. Review — each row is validated against your brand’s DPP schema. Errors and warnings are shown per row.
  4. Exclude any rows you don’t want to import.
  5. Commit — valid rows are inserted as product records.
Download the import template from the Import page before preparing your CSV. It includes all required and optional columns for your industry.

4. Review a Product

Open any product from the Product Library to see:
  • Core attributes — name, SKU, GTIN, description, commercial status.
  • DPP fields — grouped by module and category, as defined by your industry’s schema.
  • Readiness panel — shows which required fields are still missing and whether the product is ready to mint.

5. Add Identifiers

Navigate to the product’s Identifiers section:
  • Every product has a SKU (required, set at creation).
  • Add a GTIN (8, 12, 13, or 14 digits) to enable GS1 Digital Link resolution.
  • Additional identifier types (EAN, UPC) can be added as aliases.
  • Identifier history is tracked — previous values are retained as deactivated aliases.

6. Bulk Edit Attributes (Optional)

For large-scale attribute updates across multiple products:
  1. Open the Product Library in grid view.
  2. Select the products you want to update.
  3. Use Bulk Edit to apply attribute changes to all selected products at once.
  4. Review per-row validation results before confirming.
For updates involving more than 50 products, MintID automatically processes them as an async background job.
